The Origin of NTify
NTify was created for a laptop that Werwolf2303 had some time ago that ran Windows XP. Since Spotify dropped support for older versions and because browsers that support XP lack DRM, Werwolf2303 could no longer use Spotify. Werwolf2303 searched for an alternative, but unfortunately, nothing compatible with XP existed—so I decided to create one myself.
It began with a prototype that could only play a single song. When that worked successfully, Werwolf2303 decided to develop it into a full client.
Design Inspiration
The design was inspired by the classic:
Napster v2.0 Beta 3

Development and Growth
Werwolf2303 started by adding buttons and replicating the tab design as closely as possible. After painstakingly implementing the functionality, Werwolf2303 uploaded the project to GitHub. Skipster1337 featured the project on their website, and it gained some traction.
Around four to five years later, after numerous improvements and bug fixes, the project caught the attention of YouTuber Action Retro through Jri-Creator. Action Retro then uploaded a video titled
"Spotify, but it’s a Pentium II" which significantly boosted the project's visibility.
During the project’s rebranding, Anthony created the name, designed the new logo, revamped the setup image, and heavily improved the README.
We hope you enjoy using NTify! Feel free to visit the project on GitHub here.
